Hello and welcome to my website.
I am really glad you found me and I hope you will be too. My name is Alyson and I am a private counsellor/psychotherapist in Keynsham. I work with adults in one to one counselling either in person, via Zoom or on the telephone.

I am a warmly relational, client-led counsellor/psychotherapist. This means I believe the therapeutic relationship we build together is the base from which we can explore your needs, problems and aspirations to enable you to find your way forward. I am passionate about counselling – you matter and you are allowed to change.

My approach is integrative; I use a range of theoretical models and approaches to respond to your needs. These include; Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Gestalt.

What are my qualifications?

I am a fully qualified professional counsellor/psychotherapist. I hold a Diploma in Professional Studies: Counselling from the University of the West of England. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) which is an assurance that I meet the standards of proficiency and ethical practice expected. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and receive regular professional supervision. I also qualified with Cruse as a bereavement and loss volunteer and have received specialist Infant Loss training.  I have a B.Ed. (hons) degree with over 30 years teaching experience. I hold professional liability insurance.
